Dress code

Dress code
Dress code to me is a beautiful thing because it gives the student the opportunity to save money. Having dress code to me is good because you don’t have to worry about students judging other students because of what they have on. I don’t mind dress code at all.
Dress code can save money because if you were going to regular school usually you would have to keep buying the latest fashion to keep up with the crowd. Having dress code gives you a limited amount of clothing you have to buy. Some people think school is about seeing what people have on. School should be just for getting your education. Having this dress code is very good in the long run.
Dress code can is here to keep students in the right mind of education. Education is more important than looking good. You can look good but not be smart. The dress code represents the school and so many people talk bad on this school but if you step inside you will see that we are well organized and dressed nicely. Being in dress code means no sagging, and no tight clothing with females. Having dress code keeps a lot of people in tack.
Having dress code prevents the misconduct of having students too casually dressed. To casually dressed can lead to much skin showing and that it against the wake county policy. When a student dresses with too much skin showing it gives the wrong impression to another person. Dress code keeps student looking professional and gives them a good look in the education field.

I think if all schools had a dress code that most of bullying would be not as high because everyone looks alike. Having dress code is not a bad idea. It really helps the students perform better as an individual. If I was in charge of wake county schools there would be dress code to keep heads straight and focused. I love dress code.

Beowulf Differences

The are differences and similarities in Beowolf in the story and the movie. This English tale evolved into a Christian beliefs.  Beowolf is an epic hero who can fight monsters and demons. Beowolf is an epic hero because he has heroic powers . Beowulf coming to  relieve king Hrothgar of his demons such as  Grendel and Grendels mother.
In the text there was many things that were different from the film. One difference was when Grendel came to the herot hall an attacked the innocent people who were inside partying and getting drunk. In the text said that Grendel came to the herot and attacked the Dains whens they were sleep. The only survivors  were those who fled him. In the text Grendel was curious about what was going on in the Herot after it got quiet. In the film Grendel attacked because the noise being made was hurting his ears.
Beowulf killed Grendel in the film by screaming and taking his arm off . In the film Beowulf used the tatics of screaming to take advantage of his weakness. Beowulf got a hold of Grendel by screaming in his ear which lead to Beowulf ripping his arm for glory . Beowulf also used bravery of a way of killing Grendel because everyone except king Hrothgars was scared of Grendel, but no one would take the life of Grendel.
Other difference was in the text when Beowulf became king and went back to Sweden and lives there. In the film Beowulf became king and stayed in Denmark. The film and the text were based on the same things but were worded different. The film showed that Beowulf went to live with Grendels mother. In the text Beowulf and his men that were there with him had went back to Denmark.
The difference between Beowulf and today is that people now live to make it to heaven but back in the modern days they were living to live forever. Meaning anything that they have to do they will do so their name will forever live. Beowulf has truly made his name.

The Devil and Tom Walker

The story Devil and Tom Walker is a story that has a lot of important ideas that stands out to you. I can infer from the direct message from the author that Tom's wife was greedy and selfish and anything she laid her hands on she would hide away. The author states that his wife was also tall termagant, fierce of temper, loud of tongue, and strong of arm. From the authors description you can infer that she doesn't play any games and that she takes things serious always. I don't think Tom knew what he was getting his self into when he met his wife.
So one day Tom had been distant part of the neighborhood, he took what he considered a short cut homewards through the swamp. I can infer that Mr. Tom is going for a walk and is taking a different direction that he normally takes. This swamp was thickly grown with great gloomy pines and hemlocks. I can infer from this description is that the swamp was abandoned and grass was never cut. Some of the trees were ninety feet high, which made it dark in the day time. If this swamp was in my neighborhood it would never get used because of the elderly.  The swamp that Tom was going through was also muddy and filled with stagnant pool size puddles, off of this I can infer that the swamp was very nasty looking and was never hardly used.
Tom kept on picking his way through the treacherous forest, walking and stepping over puddles and leaping from tuft to tuft of rushes and roots until he reached a piece of hard ground. I can infer that Tom was glad to be able to walk on hard ground so he wouldn’t have to worry about the next step. Toms path through the forest had led him to this old fort that made him pause for a minute to rest himself. I can infer that Tom has no clue who or what is in this fort, but the story stated that Tom Walker was not a man of trouble with any fears of the kind. I can infer that he was a brave man who knew what he was capable of doing.
Tom reposed himself for some time on the trunk of a fallen hemlock. I can infer that a hemlock is a tree because of it being fallen already. As Tom came to a stop he had took another breath and realized that he was face to face with a great black man seated directly opposite him on a stump of a tree. Tom was exceedingly surprised; having neither seen no heard any one approach. I can infer from Toms reaction that he was shocked of how the black man popped up so quietly. The black man was dressed in a rude, half Indian grab, and had a red belt or sash swathed round his body. From this description I can infer that the man was dressed very poorly and didn’t have any clothes. The man also had a course of black hair that stood out from his head in all directions. I can infer that his hair wasn’t being took care of.

The black man happened to be the devil and he wanted for Tom to do him favor that would change his life and Tom wanted to ask his wife before he done so and she thought he should and he didn't. I can infer that she doesn't care about Tom at all.

Mrs Ellison this was my poor job. Ill do better next time.

Pinocchio

The theme of Pinocchio is that lying will catch up to you in the long run. When you lie you have to tell 10 more lies to cover up the one you told. In the story Pinocchio, lying made his nose grow longer and longer, but when the truth was told his nose began to get smaller and smaller. After that he realized that lying is bad for you and it will never get you out of nothing for good. Tell the truth. My father has always told me that telling the truth will get you further in life.
